The dryer cylinder receives hot air from the hot air stove, while the material enters through the feed port. Inside the dryer, the lifting plate raises the material, allowing it to come into contact with the hot air. This contact facilitates the removal of water from the material. The dried material exits through the outlet, while the hot air is pumped away from the upper end. The lifting plate plays a crucial role in the movement of the material. To function optimally, the tumble dryer requires additional equipment such as a heat source (hot blast stove), fan, Shakron, and sometimes dust removal equipment. The tumble dryer itself consists of a cylinder, feed port, discharge port, tooth ring, and aperture.
